Another action-packed battle between two fighters hungry to stay relevant in the strawweight MMA division has been added to the ONE Fight Night 23: Buntan vs. Meksen lineup.

Fourth-ranked divisional contender Hiroba Minowa and finishing machine Jeremy Miado will now square off at the Friday, July 5, event inside the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Minowa amassed back-to-back victories in his first two fights in ONE Championship, including a win over former strawweight MMA king Alex “Little Rock” Silva.

The Japanese star has fallen on hard times since, however, having dropped losses to Jarred “The Monkey God” Brooks, Bokang Masunyane, and Gustavo Balart in his last three outings.

Minowa knows that he needs a big win in his next outing if he wants to keep his place among the elites of the division, but his opponent will do everything in his power to prevent that from happening.

Miado has produced nothing but fire every time he has stepped into action in ONE, regardless of the outcome of his fights. He has six promotional wins to his name, with all coming by way of knockout.

“The Jaguar” broke into the division’s top five after a run of four straight wins, but he has since struggled to find form.

The 34-year-old has lost his last three bouts, falling to tough defeats against Mansur Malachiev, Lito Adiwang, and Keito Yamakita, so he’ll be looking to recapture the magic against Minowa at ONE Fight Night 23.

Who else is on the card?

The thrilling show is shaping up to be one of the year’s best, with stars like Ok Rae Yoon, Kirill Grishenko, Nico Carrillo, and Saemapetch Fairtex already set to appear on the card that will be headlined by a showdown for the inaugural ONE Women’s Strawweight Kickboxing World Title between Filipino-American striker Jackie Buntan and multiple-time kickboxing and Muay Thai World Champion Anissa Meksen

More fights are expected to be announced as the date draws closer.
