Reigning ONE Atomweight Kickboxing World Champion Janet Todd is ready to end her incredible career on a high note. This Friday, March 8, in the main event of ONE Fight Night 20 on Prime Video, the American superstar will put her gold on the line against interim titleholder ‘The Queen’ Phetjeeja Lukjaoporongtom.

That World Title unification showdown will air live in U.S. primetime to over 190 countries globally from the legendary Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. The contest will mark the final dance of Todd’s 51-fight professional career that’s seen her reach the pinnacle of two sports, claiming kickboxing gold in addition to the ONE Interim Atomweight Muay Thai World Title.

While the 38-year-old already knows that – win or lose – she’ll be riding off into the sunset after this fight, that doesn’t mean she’s looking past Phetjeeja. ‘JT’ says she’s eager to prove she can still beat the best of the best, no matter her age “All I’m focused on is the fight. So to me, it’s very easy to compartmentalize because I’m not thinking about retirement. The focus is the fight first and foremost and being able to display my skills there,” said Janet Todd.

She further added “I want to end my career at the top. Be the first woman in our atomweight division to defend the World Title successfully and show age is nothing but a number.”

Todd will certainly have her hands full against the 22-year-old Thai, who won five consecutive bouts in ONE last year, including a dominant showing against kickboxing legend Anissa Meksen to capture interim gold. For the American, Phetjeeja represents a fitting test to end her career.

She further added, “I’ve got to do so many things in such a short period of time and experience so much and meet so many lifelong friends, but I’m ready to move on to the next chapter after this fight. The other aspect of what I want in my life is to start a family, and I’m getting older. I want that part of my life as well.”
