Will Jake Peacock's rise continue, or will Shinji Suzuki put an end to his streak?

Limb-different fighter Jake Peacock will once again take center stage in ONE Championship when he steps in for his second fight this fall. “The One” has been added to the ever-growing ONE 169: Atlanta card on November 8, and his bantamweight Muay Thai showdown with Japan’s Shinji Suzuki promises to light up State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, at what will be ONE’s second show in the United States this year.

Peacock arrived in ONE earlier this year at ONE Friday Fights 58 with much fanfare, and he delivered with flying colors. After earning his spot on the world’s largest martial arts organization’s roster by winning the Road To ONE tournament, the British-born Canadian showed the global audience what he can do en route to overcoming Japan’s Kohei Shinjo via unanimous decision. Now, he’s set for action once again.

Born with a missing forearm, the 31-year-old has never let his disability limit his dreams. And he now finds himself named among the most exciting fighters to watch out for in ONE. As a result, his opponent upcoming will be out to steal some smoke on November 8. 

Suzuki is currently 1-1 in the promotion. He went down to a heartbreaking second-round knockout from Suablack Tor Pran49 in his promotional debut at ONE Friday Fights 32 in October last year but came strong by picking up a hard-earned unanimous decision win over Han Zi Hao at ONE 166 in Qatar earlier this year.

The Japanese star will look to carry the momentum into his bout with Peacock, and another victory could tag him as a prospect in the talent-laden bantamweight Muay Thai division. Meanwhile, there are some other top fighters added to the ONE 169 card.

Three other World Title bouts in total have been announced for the event, with two-division ONE World Champion Christian Lee returning, flyweight Muay Thai king Rodtang putting his gold on the line, and the fiery conclusion to the rivalry between ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Champion Tawanchai and “Smokin” Jo Nattawut
