Former two-division ONE World Champion Aung La “The Burmese Python” N Sang knows he has a massive opportunity ahead of him on May 5 and isn’t taking any chances in his preparations. That night, at ONE Fight Night 10: Johnson vs. Moraes III, the Burmese knockout artist will square off with Chinese star “King Kong Warrior” Fan Rong in a pivotal middleweight MMA contest live from 1stBank Center in Denver, Colorado.

Naturally, the 37-year-old is pumped to compete on ONE’s first-ever U.S. show against a talented and dangerous opponent like “King Kong Warrior.” But competing in the thin air of Denver poses problems beyond what his opponent brings to the table.
Aung La N Sang was unperturbed by the endurance-diminishing altitude of Denver city
Because the city is situated at a high altitude of one mile above sea level, most athletes struggle with their endurance when competing in Denver as each breath of air provides less oxygen than they’re used to. But with over 40 professional bouts to his resume, including nine epic ONE World Title fights, Aung La N Sang says he is taking the necessary steps to show up plenty ready for the mountain elevation on fight night.
The Kill Cliff FC athlete shared, “To get acclimated to the elevation, I have everything in place. I’m going to go there a little early. As far as nutrition goes, I’m gonna be taking some supplements, like beetroot juice and stuff like that.”

Aung La N Sang was confident enough about his superb cardio
After winning three of his last four fights by way of first-round knockout, “The Burmese Python” is now targeting another showdown with reigning ONE Middleweight World Champion Reinier “The Dutch Knight” de Ridder – the man who beat him in back-to-back ONE World Title bouts.
Standing in his way will be Fan, who has won two of his last three after suffering a submission loss to de Ridder in his promotional debut. On top of all of his regular pre-fight training, Aung La N Sang is making sure that the elevation won’t be an issue.
