ONE Championship superstar Chingiz Allazov cemented his place on top of the kickboxing world at ONE Fight Night 13, and he’s not closing his doors on any options of where to go next. “Chinga” achieved redemption 10 years in the making when he defeated Marat Grigorian by unanimous decision in a hard-fought war at the August 4 event.
He successfully defended the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Title with the win and improved his record to 61-5, including five straight victories in the world’s largest martial arts organization. The promotion’s featherweight kickboxing division is home to some of the best strikers on the planet, and Allazov has beaten three of the five ranked contenders to get to where he is today.

He certainly proved that he deserves to be called the top pound-for-pound fighter in the world this past weekend, but the question of where he goes next now looms large. The Azerbaijani-Belarusian star revealed that closing the competitive chapter of his life while on top is an option he has been contemplating, but he also noted that there is one more fighter he would like to add to his legendary list of wins.
“Now, I’m pound-for-pound number one. This is my time. But I say today, maybe this is my last fight. I’ll go home, relax, and have a talk with my manager. I’ll talk with my coach. I’ll talk with my father. Maybe he will say to stop my career,” he told ONE Championship in a recent interview. “In my weight category, we have the four top fighters. Number one is me. Second, Superbon. Third, Marat Grigorian. And fourth, Sitthichai. I beat them all. Is there anyone else? I don’t know,” he told ONE Championship in a recent interview.
Chingiz Allazov named his preferred opponent with an appreciation for Tawanchai PK Saenchai
“I like one fight, my dream fight maybe. I want to fight Giorgio Petrosyan. Maybe he’s ready to fight. God will help me win this fight. It’s the last fight in my mind.” Another name making waves in ONE’s featherweight striking ranks is Muay Thai king Tawanchai PK Saenchai.

The Thai star is also riding a five-fight winning streak, with his latest victory coming in his first kickboxing contest under the ONE banner at ONE Fight Night 13. The 24-year-old made it clear that he wants to pursue the gold on Allazov’s shoulder, and a match between the two would be highly anticipated. But “Chinga” doesn’t see it as a high priority.

“I don’t want to talk about Tawanchai. I’ll say one thing: he’s one of the best strikers in the world. He’s the best Muay Thai fighter. In kickboxing, he’s not the best. But he’s a really talented fighter. I have only respect for him. I don’t know if we will fight or not,” he said.
