Liam Harrison finds himself among the group of combat sports enthusiasts eagerly anticipating the showdown between two of the brightest stars of this generation.

ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Champion Tawanchai PK Saenchai is gearing up to defend his title against former featherweight kickboxing champion Superbon Singha Mawynn in the upcoming weeks, and the bout is already being hailed as the striking spectacle of the year. Fresh off a victory in his ONE kickboxing debut at ONE Fight Night 13, Tawanchai will temporarily set aside his pursuit of two-sport supremacy to solidify his dominance in the “art of eight limbs” against his fellow Thai competitor.

On the other side, Superbon bounced back to the win column with a stunning knockout victory over Tayfun Ozcan in their kickboxing clash this past June. Now, he aims to capitalize on that momentum as he enters a different discipline within the world’s largest martial arts organization. Harrison couldn’t hide his enthusiasm for the forthcoming World Title showdown in a recent interview, and the British striking sensation explained why fans shouldn’t let this fight pass them by.

“Tawanchai vs. Superbon, I’m really excited about this fight,” he conveyed to ONE Championship.“Superbon might have a slight technical advantage, but Tawanchai possesses remarkable speed and precision – not to mention his sheer power. I believe he might even hold a strength advantage over Superbon.”

“While Superbon may have a slight technical edge, Tawanchai’s experience in Muay Thai could give him the upper hand in terms of power. Regardless, it’s bound to be an outstanding contest.” Earlier this year, Superbon held the top spot in the pound-for-pound striker rankings worldwide. Yet, he relinquished both that prestigious position and the featherweight kickboxing championship to the reigning king Chingiz Allazov in January.

Tawanchai is more experienced, but Superbon Singha Mawynn is a force to reckon with

Nevertheless, Superbon’s recent triumph underscored why he remains one of the planet’s premier talents in his field. Meanwhile, Tawanchai is riding high on a five-fight win streak, featuring an impressive four knockouts in his remarkable run within ONE. Harrison, known as “Hitman,” believes that the 24-year-old’s exceptional form could tip the scales in his favor against Superbon. Nonetheless, he acknowledges that anything can unfold in the ring.

“Superbon has the capability to outclass opponents with his technical prowess and skills. His dangerous head kick is a testament to that,” Harrison shared. “Oh yes, it’s certainly shaping up to be an exciting bout. As for my prediction, I lean towards Tawanchai, although, truth be told, I’m undecided. It’s a fantastic matchup that could go either way.”
