Ozcan is honored to have the opportunity to compete in the storied stadium, and he can hardly contain his excitement for his upcoming match. “It’s my second time in Thailand, and it’s my first fight in Thailand. So, it’s going to be very nice. I’m looking forward to it,” the 31-year-old told ONE Championship.
“I cannot tell you how excited I am. It’s always been a dream to fight at Lumpinee because I watched all the fights from back in the days from all the Thai fighters. So, I’ll be right there.” His experience will be more unforgettable given that he’ll stand across the fabled ring from one of the best Thai fighters of his generation.
Ozcan was slated to clash with Superbon in October 2022 – when the Thai superstar held the divisional crown. Unfortunately, his upcoming foe pulled out at the last minute due to sickness, leaving the Dutch-Turkish striker open to face Marat Grigorian.
