Will Anatoly Malykhin's experience overpower Reug Reug's raw strength at ONE 169? Who's your pick?

A blockbuster heavyweight clash between Anatoly Malykhin and Senegalese behemoth Oumar Kane is heading to ONE 169: Atlanta. After months of tension, the fight is scheduled to take place on November 8 at State Farm Arena. Comparing the strengths of both fighters, it will be difficult to pick the favorite for the night. This is what Jarred Brooks also feels.

He recently shared his opinion on the upcoming fight and seemed hesitant to pick a favorite. Brooks said, “Anatoly Malykhin speaks with his fists. And ‘Reug Reug’ he’s getting better, in his stand-up, his boxing or kickboxing skills. It’s a super fun fight.” Let us inspect the upcoming fight between the two heavyweights.

As the first man to hold MMA World Titles in three different weight classes, ‘Sladkiy’ is brimming high with confidence. The Russian is feared for his clean boxing technique but also has the ability to use his wrestling during his matches. His next opponent, Oumar Kane, is a man mountain himself, but that doesn’t bother the champion. Both fighters have been constantly talking about each other and it seems Malykhin has found certain weaknesses in his opponents’ game. When asked about Kane’s biggest assets, the champion was quick to point out that, apart from being strong, the Senegalese has no other strengths.

”Reug Reug” is also known for his brutal power, but it seems the champion is unfazed by it. The Russian promised that he would be aiming to knock out his opponent. Malykhin believes that the 32-year-old doesn’t have the conditioning to last the five rounds. During a recent interview, he said, “He’s slow, can’t time punches for the life of him, and his cardio sucks. Three rounds and he’s gassed, and this is a five-rounder?” Responding to these claims, Kane also has a plan for the champion, saying he is coming for the belt next. The 32-year-old said,  “It’s my belt. You know I’m going to win this fight, inshallah. I’m going to put down 100k, going to win again. Yes.”

”Reug Reug” is entering the fight after four straight victories, which includes a win in his kickboxing debut in ONE. However, he is yet to impress the champion. The Russian recently took to his Instagram to share a video of him throwing a large bundle of hay. However, what caught the attention was the caption which read, “I’ll turn over like a haystack @reugreug #one169 Atlanta let’s go.” Unimpressed by the comment, the 32-year-old Kane also replied to it and pointed out that the champion was indeed struggling.

He commented, “You struggling with it,” mocking the champion. The pair are desperate to fight each other after months of build-up with their social media brawls. Both fighters can end the fight in the first round because of the brutal strength they possess. Being a champion, Malykhin does hold an advantage in the clash, and his recent form is even good. But one cannot rule out Kane in this clash, as he is now unbeaten in his last four fights. The 32-year-old is even targeting two belts, as he said in a recent interview, “No, middle. No need for middleweight, you know. Only two belts, yes.”
