Haggerty has previously held the ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Title in his tenure, and he shocked the world earlier this year by knocking out the seemingly invincible Nong-O Hama to take the bantamweight gold in his second fight in the division. Now looking stronger than ever, Haggerty says he’s ready to achieve his dream of holding a belt in both striking arts in the world’s largest martial arts organization.
“I was coming to the bantamweight division to take over, and I think it’s fair to say I’m getting there,” he said in an interview with ONE. “I’ve said it in previous interviews, but I wanted the kickboxing belt on one shoulder and the Muay Thai belt on the other. I’ve said that throughout my career, and it will become a reality.” There is no doubt that Haggerty is one of the best fighters in the world today.
