Two-division ONE World Champion Reinier “The Dutch Knight” de Ridder will have the perfect chance to seal his status as one of the best athletes on the global stage at ONE X.

The Breda native crosses paths with multiple-time Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu world champion Andre Galvao in a middleweight submission grappling match, emanating live from the Singapore Indoor Stadium this Saturday, 26 March

He views the Brazilian athlete as a legend of the sport, but he is ready to showcase why his grappling skills can allow him to hang – and perhaps triumph – versus the best in the business.

“There are a lot of other great names around like “Buchecha” and Gordon Ryan. But this is the first guy I get a crack at, and it’d be a major achievement for me personally to finish him off,” the Combat Brothers standout offered.

“I’m excited to be able to have an opportunity like this to face a grappling legend. It’s very big for me. I got into the sport from grappling. It was the first part of MMA I started with.”

He has forced a tap from the likes of former middleweight and light heavyweight king Aung La “The Burmese Python” N Sang and ONE Welterweight World Champion Kiamrian “Brazen” Abbasov with his ruthless grappling and quick thinking.

He thinks he will showcase a similar style in this upcoming fight, while using a few tricks from other grappling disciplines to power him to a career-defining win.

“What you should expect [at ONE X] is a high-paced grappling match, top grappling skills showcased, and a very exciting match because I want to push the tempo,” the Dutchman confidently stated.

“The higher the pace, the better it is for me. There’ll be some wrestling, some domination on the floor. And hopefully, I’ll end up with my hand in the air.”
