Kwon Won Il made a statement about his grappling skills!
In his post-fight interview, ‘Pretty Boy’ explained why he chose to go for grappling in his last fight. “To be honest, yes [I think my grappling is underrated]. And a lot of people online have been commenting that my grappling skill is not as advanced [as my striking]. So I tried to show them at least once that I do have this skill,” he told ONE in a post-fight interview.

The Brazilian now has his hands firmly on the World Title. Moreover, he even competed for the vacant bantamweight kickboxing strap against Jonathan Haggerty at ONE Fight Night 16 this past November.
Kwon may be itching for his shot at gold and redemption against Andrade. However, he may have to wait in line in the stacked division. Former bantamweight titleholder and top-ranked contender John Lineker is also in the hunt and is coming off back-to-back wins against two strong opponents. Therefore, he may be first in line.
