English striking superstar Liam Harrison is looking forward to a barn-burner of a match that might steal the show at ONE Championship’s next event.

On Friday, November 3, his countryman Liam Nolan is set to rematch former ONE World Title challenger Sinsamut Klinmee in a lightweight Muay Thai contest at ONE Fight Night 16: Haggerty vs. Andrade inside the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

In their initial meeting at ONE 159 in July 2022, Sinsamut claimed a spectacular second-round knockout win over Nolan that vaulted him into contention for the inaugural ONE Lightweight Muay Thai World Championship. Revenge will undoubtedly be on his British compatriot’s mind ahead of next month’s event, but Harrison believes it will be ‘Lethal’s ability to keep his cool that will make the difference when they run it back.

“Now, this is a great fight. I can get behind this one. I like Liam. I’d like him to win. But it all depends on how he bounces back from the knockout the last time these two met. That was a heavy knockout,” he told ONE in an interview. “Is that going to be hovering around Nolan’s head? I hope not. But if it is, it will be another hard night for him.”

With over 100 wins under his belt, ‘Hitman’ has the experience and knowledge to break down Nolan’s chances against his Thai foe. And in his opinion, it will be crucial for the London native to utilize his distance control this time around. “Liam is going to have to tighten up a little bit. He can’t get engaged in punching exchanges. Try to keep his range and keep behind his left kick. He was a bit lazy with it last time, and that’s why he got caught with that left hook,” he said.

Harrison is familiar with Sinsamut’s striking prowess

Harrison noted how dangerous Sinsamut can be when he watched the 27-year-old push reigning lightweight Muay Thai king Regian Eersel to his limit across two encounters. As such, he believes a decisive win for Nolan could put him among the top fighters in the stacked division – and maybe even book him a ticket to a World Title challenge.

“I’m really invested in this fight. I really hope Liam does it, but it’s going to be hard because Sinsamut is operating on a different level,” Harrison said. “If Liam can beat Sinsamut, I believe he’ll have earned the right for a World Title shot. Sinsamut has set the benchmark to get past, so if Liam can beat him decisively, he is definitely in the conversation for the next shot.”
