Slated for the main card of ONE Fight Night 11: Eersel vs. Menshikov on Prime Video and airing live in U.S. primetime from the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, that high-stakes kickboxing clash will be the Thai superstar’s first fight back since losing his World Title in devastating fashion.

Superbon Singha Mawynn believed he wanted this win more than Tayfun Ozcan
In the main event of ONE Fight Night 6 back in January, he suffered a knockout loss to current titleholder Chigiz Allazov. That defeat sent Superbon – a man previously considered to be the planet’s top pound-for-pound striker – back to the status of a contender.

Now ranked #1 in the talent-rich featherweight kickboxing division, the 32-year-old says the crushing nature of his loss to Allazov has only added fuel to his fire. And while Ozcan himself has recently experienced defeat against Armenian legend Marat Grigorian, Superbon believes his own World Title loss was more meaningful.

“I think I’m hungrier than Ozcan because I lost more painfully. I lost on my turf and got KO’ed before I had a chance to show what I practiced. I have more motivation than him this time.”

In order to earn another crack at gold, the Singha Mawynn Muay Thai athlete must first pass an incredibly stiff test in “Turbine.” The #5-ranked featherweight kickboxing contender dominated the European scene before joining ONE in 2021, but has struggled against the division’s elite, compiling a 1-2 record in the organization.

Superbon Singha Mawynn had his eyes set on reclaiming his lost title
Despite those defeats, Superbon knows he’d be foolish to look past Ozcan. Quite the opposite, he sees this showdown at the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium as a true must-win encounter – his one and only chance to prove he is still a pound-for-pound great and deserving of a World Title fight.

He added, “I want to take back the belt and defeat everyone in the rankings. And the most important thing is that I can’t lose again. It’s a point of no return for me. If I lose, everything I’ve done until now will fall apart in the blink of an eye.”
