John Lineker’s aggressive style and ability to put rivals to sleep have earned him the nickname “Hands of Stone.”And the former ONE Bantamweight World Champion doesn’t plan on changing his approach in his upcoming rematch with Fabricio “Wonder Boy” Andrade for the vacant divisional crown bout at ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video this Friday, February 24.

The American Top Team athlete has earned almost half his 35 victories by knockout, including three back-to-back finishes in ONE Championship. Though he didn’t get to fully showcase his skill set in his first outing with Andrade, he plans to stick to it by any means.

Speaking on his plan to take out “Wonder Boy” in their rematch at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, the Brazilian slugger said, “One thing I never do in a fight is back off. I’m going to press all the time, and I’m going to do what I know how to do best, which is to fight.” Though he plans to constantly threaten his heated rival from close range, the 32-year-old knows he must be cautious.

As seen in the first battle, Andrade has furious pace that challenged Lineker throughout. Furthermore, the young Brazilian’s timing, which set him up for straights and knees, showcased counter-striking at its finest.

But having spent four months pushing himself through the paces and watching video footage, “Hands of Stone” hopes to avoid the same mistakes that occurred when they squared off at ONE on Prime Video 3 in October.

“It was a very tough fight, but the lesson I take from this fight is that I can’t make mistakes,” he offered.“I have to be 100 percent focused and prepared. That’s the big lesson I took from that fight. Inside the cage, we can’t make mistakes.”
