Stamp Fairtex is heading into her next bout with making history in her sights.

On Friday, September 29, the Thai megastar will face MMA veteran Ham Seo Hee for the ONE Women’s Interim Atomweight MMA World Championship in the main event of ONE Fight Night 14: Stamp vs. Ham inside the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Stamp Fairtex determined to make history against Ham Seo Hee

Stamp has previously held Muay Thai and kickboxing World Titles in the world’s largest martial arts organization – an honor she shares with only Sam-A Gaiyanghadao, Regian Eersel, and Janet Todd. However, no one has come close to challenging for a World Title in a third sport, and Stamp is well aware of that fact. “This fight means a lot to me. If I win, I’ll be the first three-sport ONE World Champion, which no one has ever accomplished before. I’m determined to make history,” she told ONE in a recent interview.

The Fairtex product has shown her proficiency in mixed martial arts through the years. In 2021, she won the ONE Women’s Atomweight World Grand Prix to earn the right to challenge longtime queen Angela Lee for the divisional throne. At ONE X in March 2022, she looked close to achieving glory when a body strike put Lee backpedaling. The defending World Champion hung tough to survive the round, though, and she went on to submit Stamp in the second frame. The 25-year-old has since bounced back and is now riding a two-fight win streak in MMA.

She is on the verge of claiming the historic feat that eluded her once before, but she once again has a mountain to climb to do it. Standing in her way will be Ham, who is a veteran of over 30 fights in a storied career that has spanned over a decade and a half. “Hamzzang” has competed in various promotions across the globe and claimed multiple titles along the way. Her desire to claim the biggest prize of her career is certainly as strong as Stamp’s determination to make history.

Fairtex is anticipating a war against Ham Seo Hee at One Fight Night 14

But the Fairtex standout remains unfazed, as she has supreme confidence in her abilities to get the job done. “Ham Seo Hee is a really strong fighter,” Stamp admits.

“I agree that Ham is good in her sport, but I’m better than her in my field [striking], too. Let’s see who is better in the ring.”
