Ham Seo Hee has been one of the top female competitors in Asia for some time now, and she wants to show Stamp Fairtex why that is the case.

The two top atomweight mixed martial arts contenders are set to battle it out for the interim divisional crown in the main event of ONE Fight Night 14 on Friday, September 29.

Ham Seo Hee ready to show Stamp Fairtex a different level of competition

The event marks the world’s largest martial arts organization’s return to the Singapore Indoor Stadium, and it will be broadcast live and free in U.S. primetime on Prime Video for fans across North America. With longtime atomweight queen Angela Lee’s future still unknown, ONE got her blessing to introduce an interim World Title to keep the division moving. And, fittingly, it will be the top-ranked Stamp and the #2-ranked Ham contesting for it.

Despite the incredibly high stakes that this fight comes with, “Hamzzang” is approaching it like any other match that has come her way. “I am putting in a lot of effort to get ready for the upcoming fight – like any other one – so I have no regrets when the fight comes,” she told ONE in an interview. “I am doing my best to prepare in every aspect rather than just preparing separately for one area. But as we both possess striking strengths, I am focusing on training to showcase it during the title fight.”

The South Korean veteran has over 30 professional MMA fights on her resume, which dates back to 2007. She has competed all over the world and claimed accolades and titles in various promotions throughout her career. She is currently riding the strength of nine straight wins, which includes all three of her matches in ONE since her promotional debut in 2021.

An opportunity for Stamp Fairtex to make history

Meanwhile, Stamp is looking to make history by becoming ONE’s first three-sport World Champion at the expense of the Team MAD representative. The Thai superstar previously held the division’s World Titles in Muay Thai and kickboxing, and she came close to taking the MMA throne against Lee at ONE X in March 2022.

While Ham recognizes the dangers her rival brings to the table, she is ready to show everyone why she is on a different level, especially in mixed martial arts. “I think Stamp is a powerful opponent. Her Muay Thai strikes are powerful, and she successfully transitioned them into MMA,” she said. “But I’m a cut above her in MMA. I think MMA striking has different distances and movements that set it apart.”
