Gasanov burst onto the global stage in 2022 with a spectacular first-round submission win over South Korea’s Kim Jae Woong.

The Russian would subsequently suffer defeat – the first of his career – against former ONE World Title challenger Garry “The Lion Killer” Tonon, but quickly bounced back to the win column with a dominant decision victory over Oh Ho Taek.

With his hype train still well and alive, “The Cobra” admits he’s in for a serious test against the well-rounded Canarte.

Gasanov said, “Aaron is a formidable opponent. We’ve crossed paths in Phuket (Thailand), so we’re familiar with each other.”
