Halil Amir wants to continue ascending the lightweight MMA ranks in ONE Championship. Moreover, he won’t let anyone stand in his way. On Friday, November 3, the Turkish star plans to make quick work of Pakistan’s Ahmed Mujtaba.

The two talented fighters will clash at ONE Fight Night 16: Haggerty vs. Andrade inside the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. Amir would be seeking to continue his unbeaten run. The 29-year-old has a perfect 9-0 slate in his professional MMA career, which includes two wins in the world’s largest martial arts organization.

Now ranked fourth in the divisional rankings, he is hoping to take out another tough contender to strengthen his case for a shot at the World Title.

Ahead of their bout, Amir offered his thoughts on his opponent, and he advised fans to keep both eyes open when it kicks off. “I wouldn’t say Ahmed is strong in one certain aspect, but he knows a little bit of everything. He’s had good victories, but he also had defeats. I didn’t see anything impressive in his style,” he told ONE in an interview.

“I think he will try to brawl with me, but I will be ready for anything. It will definitely be a good fight. I advise you not to blink.” Despite Amir’s confidence, Mujtaba will certainly not be an easy opponent to deal with. The 30-year-old is proficient wherever the fight goes, and he has the ability to finish opponents both on the feet and on the ground.

Halil Amir reveals his plans

All three of Ahmed Mujtaba’s wins in ONE have come before the judges’ scorecards, which is a testament to his exciting brand of fighting. Moreover, Amir believes ‘Wolverine’ will be a good opponent to match up with to produce a battle that will keep fans at the edge of their seats.
