Pheteeja Lukjaoporongtom made a huge statement in her ONE marquee event debut

And she delivered in a huge way – not wasting a second against the former WBC Muay Thai and ISKA kickboxing World Champion. During her post-fight interview, “The Queen” expressed happiness about getting her first fight in the books at ONE’s marquee event series, and she explained how she smelled blood in the water to take the finish.

“I feel so relieved and very happy,” she said. “Actually, I wanted to show more [of my] skills for the audience tonight. On that first shot, I saw that she got a little bit dizzy. So, I used that opportunity to give it my all.”

Her quick knockout was the fastest in the promotion’s women’s Muay Thai history, and it earned her a well-deserved US$50,000 bonus. “The Queen” credited her team for helping her prepare for the crucial battle, and she also expressed gratitude to the crowd in attendance at Bangkok, Thailand’s Lumpinee Boxing Stadium.

Moving forward, the Thai star is aiming for the top of the division, and she had no hesitations calling out ONE Atomweight Muay Thai World Champion Allycia Hellen Rodrigues. “Next fight, I want to fight the champion. I want to fight Allycia. You fight me here, ok? Let’s go.”

Rodrigues took the prestigious strap from Stamp Fairtex in 2020 but stepped away from competition to focus on motherhood shortly after. Earlier this year, the Brazilian returned to action by unifying the division’s World Title against Janet Todd, cementing herself as queen. With Phetjeeja’s trio of impressive wins in ONE Championship, though, she will be a formidable challenger for Rodrigues if she is granted a World Title shot.
