The reigning champion Christian Lee is standing on the sidelines and it is now the chance for both the undefeated Turkish sensation as well as Ok Rae Yoon to get their hands on the interim lightweight MMA title. Ahead of his clash, Rasulov sat with the media to have a one-on-one to explain why he is eager to showcase his skills.

“I have known ONE Championship for a long time. My countrymen have fought there, and I want to be among them. They won titles to become World Champions, and this is very prestigious,” he said in an interview with ONE.

He further added, “This organization is the best in the world. It gives athletes motivation to be stronger. I’m very happy to compete there and become a champion.”

Despite this being his ONE debut, Rasulov welcomed the changes. The 31-year-old is aiming to continue his dominant professional run by winning gold out of the gate and is ready for anyone after doing so.

“I’m very excited about it and happy to be given such an opportunity. I feel no pressure at all. It’s a good chance for me,” he said. “My goal in ONE Championship is to become a dominant champion. This win is very important for me. I will be ready.”
