Jarred Brooks believes there’s an insane level of talent in ONE Championship that the world needs to see. The ONE Strawweight World Champion is undefeated through four fights in the promotion, and he took out the stacked division’s best on his way to claiming the crown of longtime king Joshua Pacio late last year.

Nonetheless, he believes that his name isn’t mentioned enough as one of the best fighters on the planet.

Jarred Brooks saw himself and Anatoly Malykhin as the most underrated MMA athletes

In an interview with SCMP, “The Monkey God” was asked if he feel he’s the most slept-on star in the world, as he has claimed on social media. The American star stated that while he believes that to be true, he thinks he shares the burden with another World Champion.

“You know I feel Anatoly [Malykhin] too. Right? That’s why I post him a lot on my stories. I’m just like, ‘Dude, this guy is a f*****g animal.’ That guy is very hard to beat. If I was a heavyweight I’d be like ‘oh shit’ or even a light heavyweight, he’d beat [them],” Brooks said.

“So I feel him. I, kind of, feel like that same way. But I think that the more that we get into the Western front, and we take over the world, the more people are going to get to know us a little bit more and give us more opportunity to show that we’re the best organization in the world.”

After mounting events across Asia over the last decade, ONE Championship made its much-awaited debut in the United States this past May with ONE Fight Night 10. If the sold-out crowd at 1stBank Center in Colorado was any indication, fans are more than ready for the brand of martial arts that the Singapore-based organization offers.

Jarred Brooks saw ONE Championship as the best, asking for more viewership from the fans

ONE has hinted at plans to make its debut in the Middle East this year, which will undoubtedly create more awareness of the brand, and Brooks believes it’s about time that more flavor is brought to the combat sports game.

“I watch ONE Championship – that’s all I watch. I don’t watch UFC. I don’t watch any other organization because I know that it’s going to be watered-down bulls**t, right? [Here] you’re getting to see the best jiu-jitsu fights, you’re getting to see the best Muay Thai fights, the best kickboxing fights, and the best mixed martial artists in the world,” he said. “So, I think people need to catch the f*** up.”
