The Korean star knows that the American veteran has long been seen as one of the division’s most talented ground specialists and that he’ll have to look out for the raw power that has pushed him to an 11-1 slate.
Ok Rae Yoon saw no surprise element in his opponent Lowen Tynanes’ game
After all, Ok is a professional, and he gives credit where it’s due. But though he may admire Tynanes’ for what he has achieved, the Team Mad representative is also confident he has shared the Circle with similar athletes in the past, meaning he won’t be surprised by anything his upcoming foe has in store for him.
Ok told ONE, “Ever since I’ve started fighting in ONE Championship, I have fought against fighters with a style similar to Lowen Tynanes. Marat Gafurov, Eddie Alvarez, and Christian Lee, [I feel like] they have better grappling compared to Lowen Tynanes’ grappling. So, I think there will be no problem as long as the performances in the previous matches can come out.”
The 32-year-old dynamo has indeed faced and ousted some of the best grapplers in the 170-pound division.

Ok Rae Yoon could handle Lowen Tynanes’ grappling skills despite respecting them
Ok went 3-0 in the Circle right from his debut in April 2021. On that run, he took out former featherweight king Gafurov, multiple-time MMA World Champion Eddie “The Underground King” Alvarez, and even Christian “The Warrior” Lee, who he claimed the lightweight throne off in September of that same year.
Because of that, the former lightweight king is certain he will manage to maintain the edge in the face of Tynanes’ grappling prowess. Ok added, “[Tynanes’] ability to control grappling is excellent, and he has great strength. He is a fighter who weaponizes this to force pressure”.

“Then, he creates opportunities and fights his own style. However, I’ve been dealing with very strong grapplers, so I respect Lowen’s grappling, but I think I can handle him.”
