Superlek proved once again that he is one of the most dangerous fighters in the world this past weekend at ONE Fight Night 12. “The Kicking Machine” put in another sterling performance in the evening’s main event on Friday, July 14, when he gave Tagir Khalilov the beating of a lifetime, eventually forcing the referee to stop the contest in the second round of their catchweight Muay Thai battle.
The win stands as the Thai superstar’s third straight finish in the promotion. Unfortunately, as he weighed a quarter pound over the flyweight limit, he wasn’t eligible to win a performance bonus, nor does it count as an official defense of his #1-ranked contender spot in the flyweight Muay Thai division.

Superlek reveals his future plans after his victory
In truly humble fashion, Superlek asked for everyone’s forgiveness for not making weight and outlined that he wasn’t happy with his performance.Nonetheless, he renewed his call for a shot at a Muay Thai World Title, and he has two names in mind.
“I’m not contented with my performance. I still want to be number one in my weight class in Muay Thai,” Superlek said. “I want to go face Rodtang. But no matter what happens, I also want to face Haggerty. I still want to face Haggerty.”

“The Kicking Machine” surprised everyone by calling out bantamweight Muay Thai king Jonathan Haggerty after his win at ONE Friday Fights 22 last month.
Superlek wants to retain the ONE Championship titles in Thailand
His reasoning for doing so instead of going for Rodtang, was that he wants to keep as many Muay Thai belts in his and “The Iron Man’s” homeland of Thailand.
