“Unstoppable” Angela Lee has made it clear that she would be willing to go toe-to-toe with ONE Championship newcomer Danielle Kelly after the teen grappling star recently spoke about facing her inside the ONE Circle.
Kelly told ONE that she’d like to challenge the longtime atomweight queen in a crossover bout, adding that she’s confident she would submit her within five minutes.

Lee respects the call out but refuses to believe that there is any way Kelly could force her to tap if they were ever to square off in a one-round grappling spectacle.

“I see it ending in me submitting her,” she said.
“For me, I mean, I’ve been fighting for a while now. And obviously, you hope for the best-case scenario. But one thing that I trust in myself is I always get the job done – and it doesn’t matter what amount of time it’ll take, but [it would] definitely [happen] before the round ends.”
Submission grappling matches have become a staple of ONE’s live events over the last six months, and Lee is hopeful that she’ll get her chance to feature in one soon.

And though she’s confident about how a battle between her and Kelly would end, the Singaporean-American superstar admits that the bout would be a guaranteed crowd-pleaser.
“I would love to match up with Kelly. I think it’d be a great fight, and I think a lot of people would like to see that, too.”
Angela Lee is a profound grappler in her own right
Grappling has been an integral part of Lee’s success throughout her martial arts journey. 11 of her career wins have come by some form of submission, including a twister, rear-naked choke, neck crank, and armbar.

“Unstoppable” is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt and a former Hawaii State Wrestling Champion, so it’s not surprising that she’s eager to test her skills in a submission grappling bout.
“I love grappling. I’m a big fan of it. Obviously, you can see it in my fights, that I’m very grappling-based,” she said.
