Jackie Buntan is excited to perform in front of her home crowd at ONE Fight Night 10: Johnson vs. Moraes III this weekend, but the American striker knows there’s an intense challenge waiting for her in the Circle. The former ONE Strawweight Muay Thai World Title challenger takes on Diandra Martin at ONE Championship’s debut show on U.S. shores inside Denver, Colorado’s 1stBank Center, this Friday, May 5.

Both women bounced back from defeats to divisional queen Smilla “The Hurricane” Sundell by scoring a win over English dynamo Amber Kitchen last year, making their upcoming showdown all the more enticing.
Jackie Buntan will look to showcase her improved game and achieve a KO victory
Buntan has another run at gold in her mind, and she’s keen to showcase her development against her dangerous Aussie foe. The American told ONE, “Improving is showing more of my arsenal. In ONE Championship, I’m known for the power and speed of my hands. But I’d really love to show more of my arsenal.”
“That doesn’t mean not relying on my hands because my hands are obviously a strength of mine, but showing different weapons off my hands. Of course, that also relates to showing different things with my kicks.”

But displaying the techniques at her disposal isn’t the only goal she hopes to achieve when she returns to ONE’s global stage. The Boxing Works is also looking to score a highlight-reel finish against Martin.

And she has a couple of new tricks on hand to earn the win, impress the matchmakers, and please her U.S. fans this Friday. Buntan added, “Of course, I see myself winning this fight. Whether it’s a stoppage or it goes all three rounds, I really want to be able to go out there and dominate, show the bigger arsenal that I’m able to use in training, and just let that fly when it matters most.
