Three-sport ONE World Champion Stamp Fairtex has never been afraid to challenge herself. And she’s looking to revisit a missed opportunity in the near future. The Thai superstar had the chance to make history at ONE Fight Night 6 this past January.

She was scheduled to face multiple-time kickboxing and Muay Thai World Champion Anissa Meksen in the first mixed-rules meeting between two female fighters in ONE Championship. Unfortunately, that match fell through, and she instead faced Anna “Supergirl” Jaroonsak in a kickboxing affair that was finalized less than 48 hours before the event. So what happened next?

The pair produced an electrifying match, however, with Stamp edging out her young foe by a narrow split-decision win. Despite missing out on a special-rules showdown with Meksen, Stamp would achieve a historic feat in ONE when she defeated Ham Seo Hee.

She clinched the vacant ONE Women’s Atomweight MMA World Championship at ONE Fight Night 14 this past September. The massive victory crowned her as the first fighter to hold three belts in three sports in the promotion.  A tussle under a unique ruleset has remained on the Fairtex superstar’s mind, though.

The world’s largest martial arts organization is constantly putting exciting one-of-a-kind matchups together – like the special rules striking between Nat “Wondergirl” Jaroonsak and strawweight MMA queen Xiong Jing Nan that went down at ONE Fight Night 14 – and Stamp says she’d like to test her skills in one.

“If possible, I want to fight in special rules with MMA and Muay Thai. I missed this opportunity once. I’m interested in boxing in small gloves with special rules, as well,” she said. “I feel like I want to try something new with special rules. These new challenges will inspire me to work harder and succeed more.”

ONE’s first mixed rules super-fight took place at ONE X in March 2022, when MMA GOAT Demetrious Johnson took on Muay Thai monster Rodtang Jitmuangnon in a match that switched between Muay Thai and MMA each round.

Seeing two Champions of each sport adapting their gameplans and battling it out sparked the interest of fans and fighters, and Stamp believes that approaching an ever-evolving challenge like that would help her learn more about her craft. After all, despite conquering multiple sports in the world’s largest martial arts organization, the 25-year-old still plans to get better.
