Prajanchai PK Saenchai has been hungry to avenge his World Title loss, and he’ll finally get a chance to reclaim the gold he once held this weekend.
At ONE Friday Fights 46: Tawanchai vs. Superbon on Friday, December 22, the Thai star is set to collide with Joseph Lasiri to unify the ONE Strawweight Muay Thai World Championship in one of three title bouts going down inside the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

After taking the coveted strap from Muay Thai legend Sam-A Gaiyanghadao at ONE: BATTLEGROUND in July 2021, Prajanchai failed to defend his throne when he faced Lasiri in his first World Title defense at ONE 157 in May last year.
In his return to action at the first edition of ONE’s weekly shows inside Lumpinee Stadium, he got back to winning ways and was promised a shot at Lasiri in his next bout as a result.
“Going back to the fight when I beat Kompet in ONE Friday Fights … after I won, it was announced that I would have a shot for gold against Joseph Lasiri. After hearing the news, I only rested for seven days and jumped back into training camp,” he told ONE.

However, an injury to Lasiri prevented him from getting his much-sought rematch, so he stepped into a battle for the interim belt opposite a familiar foe in Sam-A.
Prajanchai didn’t need all five rounds this time, as he finished his Thai compatriot in the second frame to snatch the strap and guarantee himself a showdown with “The Hurricane.”

As the days now whittle down to his fated night, the 29-year-old says he is ready to unleash everything he has to become the division’s undisputed king.
“I’ve prepared an ‘All You Can Eat’ full course, which includes punches, kicks, knees, and elbows for him to eat,” Prajanchai said.

Prajanchai failed to answer the fourth-round bell in his first skirmish with Lasiri, leaving him well beaten, but he’s confident he will tell a different story this time out.
After all, he wants to take back what’s his and return the gold to the home of “the art of eight limbs.”

“[Lasiri] is the person I want to redeem myself against the most in my life. Because first, you take my belt from me. I want to bring this belt back to Thailand for the Thai people,” Prajanchai said.
“Nothing personal. I just want my belt back. I want to be at the top of the division and become a legend.”
