Petchtanong Petchfergus knows he’s in for a serious challenge against fellow former titleholder Alaverdi “Babyface Killer” Ramazanov at ONE Friday Fights 68: Prajanchai vs. Di Bella.
The pair will collide in a bantamweight kickboxing showdown live in Asia primetime this Friday, June 28, at the historic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

At 38 years old and a veteran of well over 400 professional Muay Thai and kickboxing fights, Petchtanong has seen and faced practically every type of fighter imaginable. His latest win saw him reach the top of the division, defeating then-titleholder Hiroki Akimoto at ONE 163 back in November 2022.
Unfortunately, an off-competition drug test weeks after the fight found him to be using banned substances which he claimed to use for treating injuries. Nevertheless, he was subsequently suspended and stripped of the belt.
Now that he’s back in action, he sets his focus on his Russian adversary with a mission to prove that he remains the best in the division. When he studies Alaverdi, he sees no glaring weaknesses in the Russian knockout artist and is quick to give his foe credit for his speed and tricky footwork.

Petchtanong explained “Alaverdi’s strengths are that he is an agile and quick athlete. He is skilled. He can throw punches and kicks really fast. And he has quick footwork in and out. I don’t see any weaknesses. He was the inaugural ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing World Champion before me. To say that he is not talented is impossible. If he wasn’t good, he wouldn’t have been the first World Champion.”
Petchtanong is confident about his fighting skills
Indeed, although “Babyface Killer” hasn’t held gold since 2021, he remains one of kickboxing’s most dangerous athletes – and he comes into ONE Friday Fights 68 on the heels of a sensational first-round knockout last September.

However, Petchtanong is confident in his advantages. As the significantly more experienced fighter, the Thai trusts in his deep understanding of the sport and tactical awareness in the heat of the moment. And while he’s not about to offer a concrete prediction, he promises a thrilling clash between two master technicians on Friday night:
He further added, “I think I have an advantage over him in terms of potential, strength, durability, knowledge, and experience. I believe my adaptability and defense are better. This fight is going to be a classic. I don’t know how it will play out in the ring, but what everyone will see is the beauty of kickboxing.”
