Superlek “The Kicking Machine” Kiatmoo9 couldn’t have been more pleased with the result of his first assignment as the ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Champion. On Friday, March 24, the Muay Femur stylist dished out a striking clinic to defend his crown and dispatch Australian-Thai dynamo “Mini T” Danial Williams in front of a screeching crowd inside the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

It was business as usual for the divisional king, who made his intentions known as soon as the floodgates opened. The Kiatmoo9 Gym representative punished his rival with punching combinations and kicks that forced Williams to rethink his strategy.

Superlek Kiatmoo9’s intense training, and determination awarded him the victory

As the match progressed, Superlek found more flaws within “Mini T” – not long after the finish came. A step-in knee dazed the challenge, and the follow-up strikes sealed his fate as the reigning flyweight kickboxing king at the 1:55 mark of round three.

In the post-fight press conference, “The Kicking Machine” shared, “I am happy with my performance because I trained very hard. I trained intensely. I prepared a lot of my game plans. I had a lot of determination to win against any opponent. I feel good about my performance today. I am very happy that the fight is over. I am very relieved. I’m really relieved because I still can keep this belt with me. And I really tried my best during the fight.”

If anything, his fight IQ and skill set were even more apparent in this bout. Moreover, his knockout of Williams could be one of his best at the promotion over the last five years.

However, “The Kicking Machine” admitted hadn’t it been for Williams’ courage and determination to step in just days before the scheduled headliner bout fell apart, he might not have gotten the opportunity to defend his strap.

Superlek added, “I would like to thank him for accepting this fight last minute, I would like to say that he’s a very strong fighter. I respect his heart. I respect his courage. I have nothing to say except thank you very much.”
