The ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Champion extended his winning run in the promotion to four last month with a vicious knockout against #2-ranked contender Jamal “Yeniceri” Yusupov in the opening round of their fight at ONE Fight Night 7: Lineker vs. Andrade II on Prime Video. After taking out elite opposition in Muay Thai for the past 15 months, Tawanchai sees the featherweight kickboxing division as a possible destination next.
Tawanchai would love to go for a kickboxing world title, but a revenge will be sweet
The PK Saenchai Muay Thai Gym representative said, “I will probably try a few matches in kickboxing first.” And if he can find his footing and transition his experienced skillset in Muay Thai to kickboxing, the 23-year-old would like to earn a shot at Chingiz “Chinga” Allazov’s ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Title.
The Pattaya native added, “Afterward, I can meet with Chingiz. I am interested in that fight with Chingiz Allazov. Chingiz is a top fighter.”
If that bout does not come into play, Tawanchai is willing to defend his gold against any name, and he is ready for the promotion to line up some of the best striking talents for him to knock out.

However, if given the choice, Tawanchai wouldn’t mind running it back against multiple-time kickboxing and Muay Thai World Champion Sitthichai “Killer Kid” Sitsongpeenong, with whom he suffered his only promotional loss back in 2021.
Tawanchai PK.Saenchai wanted to establish himself as the top striker in ONE Championship
Tawanchai does not want to wage a fight against Sitthichai, though. But if the promotion sees that battle as the next step, he’s happy to rise to the occasion. He stated, “I have a lot of respect for Sitthichai, and we talk daily, but if ONE Championship wants us to fight, that’s okay. I am ready.”

Either way, there are no shortage of contenders who Tawanchai could face next, be it in the featherweight Muay Thai division or the same weight class in kickboxing. At the end of the day, a triumph over Allazov or Sitthichai will cement his status as the top striking talent in the world – at just 23 years old.
