For one, a victory would further seal her spot as the #1-ranked contender in the atomweight division. Moreover, it would showcase her growth against one of the most well-rounded grapplers in the weight class.
Stamp Fairtex believes she had a better striking game than Alyse Anderson
With that in mind, Stamp has been putting extra focus on touching up her ground game. But, ultimately, the former two-sport queen feels like her striking will be the difference when the two cross paths later this week.
Speaking to ONE, Stamp said, “I won’t be shy about going toe-to-toe with her either. If we can trade, we trade. I got a chance to watch her two fights in ONE. I think her striking is still not on par with mine.”
Anderson debuted at the Singapore-based organization against Itsuki “Android 18” Hirata at ONE: EMPOWER in September 2021, falling short to the Japanese judoka sensation on the scorecards. In her sophomore outing, the Michigan native gained her first win inside the Circle as she forced Asha “Knockout Queen” Roka to tap at 2:04 of the opening stanza.

During her second fight in ONE, Anderson displayed a more decisive stand-up game to go alongside her grappling-heavy game.

And although Stamp wasn’t entirely impressed by her foe’s output in the striking department in that match, the Fairtex Gym representative wants to remain grounded to avoid any backfire from taking place during their bout at ONE Fight Night 10.
She added, “I will not be careless. She might have improved her striking to handle me.” Ultimately, the 25-year-old isn’t too concerned about how the match plays out. Instead, Stamp is fired up to put on a show on the grandest stage of them all.

As a result, winning is an absolute must for Stamp. The icing on the cake would be to deliver a memorable finish that will leave a lasting impression among American fans in her U.S. debut.
She said, “I want to beat her by knockout because I’m addicted to the cheering noise from the audience when I hurt someone. This is also my debut fight in the USA. I want to give them the best performance I can. And if I win, it will be more proof that I am one of the world’s top MMA fighters.”
