Following the triumphant conclusion of ONE 167: Tawanchai vs. Nattawut 2 in Bangkok, ONE Championship sets its sights on its upcoming American card, ONE 168: Denver.

Scheduled for September 6, 2024, at the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado, this event marks the promotion’s second foray into the US since the well-received ONE Fight Night 10: Johnson vs. Moraes. It will also see the electrifying return of reigning ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion, Jonathan Haggerty.

Fresh off the electrifying Bangkok event, two-division champ Jonathan Haggerty sets his sights on Denver for ONE 168. He’ll throw down with the legendary “kickboxing Machine” Superlek Kiatmoo9 to unveil his training camp location for this epic showdown.

Jonathan Haggerty’s next destination to stop Superlek Kiatmoo9

Looks like Jonathan Haggerty has got a taste for the sunshine. “The General” is back in Koh Samui, Thailand for his third training camp this year, swapping the chilly British weather for tropical Thailand. This is his second stay at the camp before a fight. Last time, he trained there to defend his Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion title against Felipe Lobo at ONE Fight Night 19: Haggerty vs. Lobo, and came out on top.

Looking ahead to his upcoming fight, Jonathan Haggerty took to Instagram to express his happiness with the success of ONE 167: Tawanchai vs. Nattawut. In the caption, he wrote, “Now it’s time to head to Samui and start a long hard fight camp for my upcoming fight in Denver Colorado.” Undoubtedly, Haggerty is excited about this fight. Riding a six-fight win streak, he’s eager to add a seventh victory to his resume.

With stars like Stamp Fairtex, Jonathan Haggerty, and Superlek Kiatmoo9 set to clash, it’s no surprise that the MMA world is noticing. Even fellow ONE Championship athlete and current ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion, Rodtang Jitmuangnon, weighed in on the fight in a recent interview. Adding to the hype, Rodtang’s dominant kickboxing win over Denis Puric added more fuel to the fire for this highly anticipated event.

Like any other fight fan, Muay Thai phenom Rodtang Jitmuangnon can’t wait for ONE Championship’s return to the US. Though he’s not throwing down at ONE 168: Denver, “The Iron Man” is just as pumped as everyone else. In a recent interview, Rodtang singled out the upcoming Bantamweight Muay Thai title fight between Jonathan Haggerty and Superlek Kiatmoo9, predicting a quick and explosive battle.

Last week, Rodtang sat down for an interview with the South China Morning Post while preparing for his fight after recovering from an injury. In the middle of the interview, “The Iron Man” gave his verdict, predicting a knockout but remaining unsure of the victor. “I also think this would be close, too, “he said. “Both have knockout power, but we’ll need to see who will win the ring. But, for sure, there will be a knockout.

Consequently, the pressure is now on Jonathan Haggerty to defend his Bantamweight Muay Thai gold for the second time at ONE 168: Denver. Can he repeat his dominant performance against Felipe Lobo with a third-round TKO, just like he did at ONE Fight Night 19? Who will emerge victorious? Haggerty or Superlek?
