ONE Championship superstar Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson has squared off against all sorts of opponents throughout his storied career, so he knows how to differentiate between an average talent and a world-class warrior.

The newly crowned ONE Flyweight World Champion believes there are many world-beaters currently signed with ONE, but one athlete has impressed him the most over the last couple of years.

“Fabricio Andrade, he’s f****** good. That fight is going to be sick between him and John Lineker,” Johnson said.

Surging star Andrade has been unstoppable in ONE’s bantamweight division since joining the promotion in 2020.

The 24-year-old has a perfect 5-0 slate inside the Circle, and he is set to challenge divisional king John Lineker for the crown in his next outing at ONE on Prime Video 3 on October 21.

“Wonder Boy” has won the hearts of combat sports fans with his straightforward attacking approach. The Tiger Muay Thai standout walks down a rival with his striking weapons and shuts them out as fast as he can.

That tactic has helped him muster three consecutive first-round finishes against Li Kai Wen, Jeremy Pacatiw, and Kwon Won Il. The Brazilian star will be looking for an eighth successive win at the expense of Lineker inside the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Demetrious Johnson praises Fabricio Andrade ahead of ONE Championship title bout

“Mighty Mouse” is a big fan of Andrade’s style. Like the Brazilian, the AMC Pankration and Evolve star loves to push the tempo of a fight to ensure it’s entertaining.

“I really like Andrade. I really, really do. I think it’s the way he comes out and fights. He pushes the pace, he takes risks. I think that fight against John Lineker is going to be a great fight,” Johnson said.

It won’t be an easy fight for Andrade, though. Lineker has been a dominant force in the division and is himself carrying a perfect 5-0 record in ONE into their World Title tussle.

But Johnson believes “Wonder Boy’s” speed and agility could trick the bantamweight king when they lock horns next month.

“I think if Fabricio Andrade gets busy moving, has good footwork, good movement, and good feints, he could really draw out some of Lineker’s big shots. But I know someone’s going to get knocked down in that fight. That’s all I can say,” he said.
