Martin Nguyen reflects on ONE Championship and Prime Video deal

He sees this as a perfect opportunity for ONE and himself to build a larger fanbase.

“I feel like it’s obviously a great step for ONE Championship to showcase the organization to the U.S. market. Not only the U.S. market but the world,” the 33-year-old said.

“It’s certainly another step onwards and upwards. It’s only going to go up from here. I’m just happy that I’m here for the ride and go from there.”

Nguyen is one of many martial arts World Champions who will light up the Singapore Indoor Stadium in a couple of days. Every fighter competing will be hell-bent on producing some of their best performances, with the card being showcased live in American primetime.

However, “The Situ-Asian” admits that his main focus come fight night is to perfect a game plan to take out the Russian newcomer, as he feels his rival will enter this contest with a desire to win at all cost.

“No pressure [to compete on a card like ONE on Prime Video], man. I’m just going to go in there, do my thing, and if it works in my favor Then the world gets to see one of the best performances of Martin Nguyen. Every performance is going to be as best as possible,” he warned.

Martin Nguyen is still gunning for the title

Nguyen’s confidence is sky-high following an impressive win at ONE: LIGHTS OUT in March. The former two-division king dished out a classic display of attacking onslaught to pick up a TKO versus Kirill Gorobets.

“There were two losses, whatever. If it happened, it happened. We all go through tough losses here in our careers, so it’s just a matter of getting them back,” Nguyen added.

“I’m sure when the road meets again, these are the two losses that I made, I will be going the opposite direction to what I did.”
