Can Reug Reug's high-voltage promise shake up the MMA world against Malykhin?

A highly anticipated heavyweight clash between Anatoly Malykhin and Oumar Kane is heading to ONE 169: Atlanta. The fight will take place on November 8 at the State Farm arena after months of tension between both fighters. Three-division ONE MMA World Champion Anatoly Malykhin has, time and again, pointed out the weaknesses in Kane’s game. But it seems that the 32-year-old is unfazed by the claims.

He recently took to his Instagram account to give an update about his physical conditioning. ‘Reug Reug’ is a mountain of a man and is known for his brutal strength and it seems he is up for his next challenge. He shared a caption, which read, “Nothing like you have experienced GET READY ATLANTA NOVEMBER 8th.” Fans can expect fireworks when both giants collide against each other next. 32-year-old Oumar Kane is one of those rare heavyweights who can match up to the Russian in terms of physicality. However, the Russian is one of the best in the business at the moment. Malykhin boasts a perfect record of 14-0 in his career and is running high on confidence because of his 100 percent finishing rate. However, the Senegalese fighter is too good to be taken lightly.

Kane is riding on a four-fight winning streak and looks like a man on a mission. In his latest appearance at ONE Fight Night 23 in June, the accomplished Senegalese wrestler competed in his first kickboxing fight in ONE, where he showcased his stopping power in an all-striking discipline.

Since making his debut at ONE Championship, Kane has impressed one and all with his brute strength. But ‘Sladkiy’ seems to have found a weakness in his game. While the 36-year-old feels strength is his only asset, there are areas where he does lack a lot. According to the three-division champion, conditioning is one of the biggest problems for the challenger. Although the 32-year-old has won two of his fights during his time at ONE via decision, it has not quite impressed the champion.

During an interview, Malykhin pointed out and said, “He’s slow, can’t time punches for the life of him, and his cardio sucks. Three rounds and he’s gassed, and this is a five-rounder?” The Russian even predicted that he would be knocking out the Senegalese fighter during an interview with ONE Championship.

Despite such claims, Kane is entering the fight high on confidence. He has constantly engaged in a lot of social media brawls with the Russian, which has heated the rivalry. Let us take a look at what he had to say about the latest post.
