ONE heavyweight contender “Reug Reug” Oumar Kane has intensified his verbal attacks against three-division ONE MMA World Champion Anatoly Malykhin to promote their upcoming ONE Heavyweight MMA World Title fight. This heated rivalry will culminate at ONE 169: Atlanta, ONE Championship’s second event in the United States this year, at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta.

In his latest Instagram post, “Reug Reug” Oumar Kane again targeted Anatoly Malykhin, writing, “Fake Chmp is hiding. Nowhere to hide Atlanta @onechampionship on November 8th.” This isn’t the first time Kane has called out Anatoly Malykhin as a fake champion. Kane recently returned to action earlier this month, defeating his countryman Boucher Ketchup by knockout in a kickboxing bout.

Meanwhile, Anatoly Malykhin has been on another level since his ONE Champion debut in 2021, holding a perfect 14-0 record. Malykhin has dominated every opponent, capturing titles in MMA weight divisions in the world’s largest martial arts organization.

Fans react to Oumar Kane’s post

A fan of “Reug Reug” Oumar Kane compared him to a warrior, praying to their deity for his win, commenting, “This warrior is like a ceinture, victory to Allah.” This emotional sentiment was echoed by another fan who also wanted to see him win the ONE Heavyweight MMA World Title against Anatoly Malykhin, saying, ‘Good luck champion.”

However, there was also a fan of Anatoly Malykhin who slammed Oumar Kane for calling him a “Fake Champion,” commenting, “Fake champ, where were you in the first half of 2024?” The fan was pointing to the fact that after his win against BJJ legend Marcus “Buchecha” Almeida in August 2023, the Senegalese giant has not tested his skills against any other contender in the MMA ranks.

But most of the comments only supported Oumar Kane, calling him the hope for the new king of the heavyweight division. A fan echoed this sentiment, commenting, “Young king.” One fan is already crowning “Reug Reug” as the next champ, saying, “The belt is for you lion.”

Whether the title belongs to “Reug Reug” Oumar Kane or remains with Antoly Malykhin can only be determined after the November 8 event when these titans collide on American soil. Who will you be rooting for? Let us know in the comments.
