ONE Championship will crown its latest two-sport World Champion when Fabricio Andrade and Jonathan Haggerty collide next month, and both competitors appear to be in top form. The pair will meet to contest the vacant ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing World Championship in the main event of ONE Fight Night 16 on Friday, November 3, inside Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Originally slated to go down this past weekend at ONE Fight Night 15, both men got a chance to stand opposite each other in the middle of the ring at the star-studded event to promote their upcoming battle.

Originally slated to go down this past weekend at ONE Fight Night 15, both men got a chance to stand opposite each other in the middle of the ring at the star-studded event to promote their upcoming battle. Bantamweight MMA king Andrade, who has been training out of Thailand throughout his tenure in ONE, said he’s eager to make history and insisted that preparation is going well at Tiger Muay Thai. The Brazilian star also recognized his opponent’s strengths and promised fans another exciting fight.

“Everything is going perfect. I’m all about the big fights, and this is as big as it gets. This has never happened in ONE Championship – MMA World Champion versus Muay Thai World Champion meeting in the middle, fighting for the kickboxing title,” he told Mitch Chilson during the in-ring interview.  “Of course, we are aware of his qualities, but I believe my power is going to be a big difference in this fight, and I’m going do what I always do, and that is knock people out. This time is not going to be different.”

Muay Thai titleholder Haggerty has also been readying himself for his upcoming battle in Thailand, and he revealed he plans to implement the same strategy used when he claimed the division’s crown from Nong-O Hama this past April at ONE Fight Night 9.

Jonathan Haggerty is also restless about his bout

This time, though, he has had more time to prepare, and the British star said he believes that will help him be at his most dangerous. “I think coming to Thailand was one of the best things I’ve done. When I fought Nong-O, I was out in Thailand for four weeks, and I felt great,” Haggerty said.
