While the former UFC champion Eddie Alvarez did not have the perfect start at ONE Championship, he is optimistic about his return. The fighter made his ONE Championship debut against Timofey Nastyukhin in 2019. Unfortunately, he lost the bout through TKO.

He fought once again in the same year and emerged victorious with a submission win at One Championship – Dawn of Heroes. Sadly, his next fight against Iuri Lapicus ended in a no contest. After this, Alvarez lost against Rae Yoon Ok via a unanimous decision.
However, according to ‘South Morning China Post‘, the fighter hopes to work on the details of his next fight soon. ‘The Underground King’ was a part of ONE and Amazon’s press conference in Los Angeles. During the question-answer session, the former UFC and Bellator champion revealed his intention to stay in the city and figure out his next fight with the promotion.
“That’s why I’m in L.A. We’re gonna figure this out while I’m here,” said the athlete.
While Alvarez’s run at ONE hasn’t gone the way he expected, he is a big name on the promotion’s roster. Hence, his fights ahead would be interesting to watch. He aspires to win the title in the third promotion.
His last fight was against South Korean fighter Rae Yoon Ok. Yoon Ok, then went on to win the lightweight title from Christian Lee.
ONE Championship: Upcoming fights and Prime Video deal
The upcoming ONE 160: Ok vs. Lee II is a highly-anticipated bout. Rae Yoon Ok and Christian Lee will clash once again on August 26 at Singapore Indoor Stadium, Singapore.
Additionally, the promotion also struck a streaming deal with Prime Video. Hence, ONE on Prime Video 1: Moraes vs. Johnson II will stream on the platform. The event will happen in Singapore Indoor Stadium, Singapore.
