Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson recently gave his thoughts on the tumultuous ONE on Prime Video 3 main event showdown between Fabricio “Wonder Boy” Andrade and John “Hands of Stone” Lineker that went down in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on October 21. The Brazilian athletes went head-to-head for the vacant ONE Bantamweight World Title at the promotion’s third event streamed via Amazon Prime, and it was filled with high drama from the lead-up.
Surging phenom Andrade belittled “Hands of Stone’s” striking credentials and his place as a divisional king months before the bout was even confirmed, leading to bad blood between the pair.

Demetrious Johnson described John Lineker’s weight issues
“Mighty Mouse” viewed the weight issues as a hiccup that could occur to either fighter, adding that Andrade’s bigger slice of the pie was a silver lining of sorts.
“I don’t look at it as controversy. I mean, he weighed in the past at 125 and 135 [pounds], and now at 145. It’s part of the sport. It’s a tricky thing to happen, but hey, Fabricio made a little extra money,” the ONE Flyweight World Champion shared.
The slipped weight didn’t seem to bother the 25-year-old when he stepped into action against Lineker. Andrade outstruck his more senior compatriot from the opening bell and heaped damage onto him in spades. “Wonder Boy” looked set for a dominant victory until, in another dramatic twist, an errant knee caught Lineker below the belt.

The former divisional king couldn’t continue, and the bout was ruled as a no-contest as a result.

“The fight, obviously, it was striking back and forth, with Fabricio Andrade winning most of the exchanges and battering John Lineker,” Johnson offered.
“I think the biggest thing that Fabricio does so well is that he’s longer than John, so he has the range advantage.”
