ONE Championship stars predict Xiong Jing Nan vs. Angela Lee
The match, the culmination of the biggest women’s MMA rivalry in ONE, has caught the attention of some of the promotion’s biggest names, including Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson.
Johnson is in awe of the two superstars, but the newly crowned ONE Flyweight World Champion predicts that Lee will leave the Circle as a two-division queen.
“I think it’d be a toss-up between who’s just going to implement their game plan. I think Angela’s better in the overall game of mixed martial arts, but I think “The Panda” is better on her feet,” he said.
“I think Angela beats her. I think Angela is going to use the overall game, walk her down, wrestle, get [her] on the ground, [and unleash her] ground-and-pound.”
Lee used those skills to frustrate the strawweight queen en route to one of her biggest atomweight title defenses in their October 2019 rematch.
However, when the 26-year-old first challenged Xiong for the strawweight gold six months earlier, the Chinese dynamo managed to see off Lee’s intense grappling before finishing her via TKO in the final round.
Aung La N Sang gave predictions for the Xiong Jing Nan & Angela Lee’s trilogy
Former ONE Middleweight and Light Heavyweight World Champion Aung La “The Burmese Python” N Sang predicts that this upcoming trilogy battle could see the same result.
The Burmese sporting hero feels “The Panda’s” power and her much-improved arsenal will be the deciding factor at the promotion’s second spectacle on Prime Video.
“I think Xiong Jing Nan’s going to be able to defend her submissions, defend the takedown, and she already knows how to beat Angela Lee, so I’m leaning toward Xiong Jing Nan on this match,” he said.
“If it was an atomweight matchup, I would think otherwise. But for strawweight, I think Xiong Jing Nan’s stronger.”

“I think Xiong has improved her wrestling and ground game a lot. I believe that she will win this,” she shared.
“Xiong looks the stronger one. I don’t think this match will end with a knockout because both know how to recover from tough situations. I think the match could go to the last round.”
