The Belarusian striker is riding a huge wave of momentum ahead of the contest. He dominated the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix in 2022, knocking out his first two opponents before defeating Thai superstar Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong in the tournament final.
Chingiz Allazov currently holds a disappointing record against Marat Grigorian
With that victory, Allazov earned a shot to challenge Superbon Singha Mawynn for the divisional crown. At the time, the Thai superstar hadn’t been beaten since February 2018 and had put together a string of impressive victories in ONE, including the seismic headkick knockout he scored against striking legend Giorgio Petrosyan.
After a series of delays, Allazov and Superbon finally squared off at ONE Fight Night 6 in January, and “Chinga” shocked the world by knocking out the World Champion in the second round to take not just the World Title, but also the distinction of being the best pound-for-pound kickboxer in the world.

He will face a world-renowned talent in Grigorian on August 4 – a foe he has met twice already. The pair fought to a disappointing no-contest ruling after an illegal elbow cut Allazov, bringing a premature end to the bout. Eight months later, the Armenian snapped his rival’s almost three-year unbeaten streak with a hard-earned unanimous decision victory.
Fans may expect this Chingiz Allazov vs Marat Grigorian trilogy to be an enthralling one
The former three-time Glory Kickboxing World Champion carried over his success to ONE when he joined in 2020, and he has won three of his four outings with the outfit. At ONE Fight Night 13, Grigorian will step in for his second challenge of the coveted featherweight kickboxing strap. He came looking for it against Superbon at ONE X last year but fell to a unanimous decision loss on that occasion.
