A massive clash between two of the world’s best strikers will headline ONE Championship’s marquee event in October. ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong announced on his social media this week that ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Champion Tawanchai PK Saenchai will defend his belt against pound-for-pound great Superbon Singha Mawynn at ONE Fight Night 15 on October 6.
In the caption, he wrote, “MEGA FIGHT!!! Tawanchai and Superbon are arguably the two greatest pound-for-pound strikers on the planet today. DON’T BLINK! #WeAreONE”.

The image accompanying the post showed that the event will be held inside the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, which is a perfect venue for this insane matchup featuring two of the country’s biggest stars.
Superbon vs Tawanchai bout expected to be a barnburner
Tawanchai has been on an absolute tear over the past couple of years. He went undefeated in 2022, scoring back-to-back knockout wins before claiming the featherweight Muay Thai crown. He then successfully defended his throne with a devastating leg kick knockout in the opening round of his matchup with Jamal Yusupov at ONE Fight Night 7 this past February.
It was his fifth win in six outings in ONE, with four of those victories coming before the judges’ scorecards. At only 24 years old, it’s clear that he is only getting started. However, if there’s one man who can stop Tawanchai’s brilliant run, it’s Superbon.
The Singha Mawynn representative stood as the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world just a few months back, owing to an unbeaten streak that went back to 2018. Unfortunately, his run came to a screeching halt in a shocking fashion when he faced Chingiz Allazov earlier this year.
The ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix winner overwhelmed the Thai star with ruthless aggression, and he succumbed to a second-round TKO loss after getting dropped three times in the frame.

Superbon Singha Mawynn won’t be fazed by Tawanchai PK Saenchai’s Muay Thai prowess
He has since bounced back with a knockout win of his own, sending Tayfun Ozcan to oblivion with a deadly head kick in the second round of their matchup at ONE Fight Night 11 just a few months ago.
Having fought exclusively in kickboxing competitions during his tenure in the Asia-based martial arts organization, the 32-year-old will look to show the world that he can be just as dominant in Muay Thai when he faces Tawanchai on October 6.
