ONE Fight Night 24: Brooks vs. Balart on Prime Video is slowly taking shape, and an intriguing MMA match has been announced to bolster the card.

Fresh from winning a US$100,000 ONE Championship contract last May, ONE Friday Fights standout Carlo Bumina-ang will make his way to U.S. primetime when he takes on American striker Asa “The American Ninja” Ten Pow in a bantamweight battle at the Friday, August 2, event inside the historic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Bumina-ang showed a full spectrum of skills in his time at ONE’s weekly fight series, winning all five of his bouts, with two knockouts, two submissions, and one split-decision victory.

In his latest outing, he choked out Mongolia’s Chayan Oorzhak in the second round of their match at ONE Friday Fights 65 last month, snapping Oorzhak’s three-fight undefeated run in the promotion to clinch a coveted six-figure deal with the world’s largest martial arts organization.

The Filipino star will be eager to continue the rich history of his legendary stable, Team Lakay when he chases glory for the first time on ONE’s global platform next month. But he’ll have his work cut out for him against Ten Pow.

“The American Ninja” is coming off back-to-back stoppage wins in the bantamweight Muay Thai competition. In his latest outing at ONE Fight Night 14 last September, he finished another contract winner in Rambolek Chor Ajalaboon in the second round, and the 34-year-old will be hoping it becomes a trend for him in his upcoming tussle.

However, he’ll attempt to do it with a bit of a handicap, as it will be his first time competing under MMA rules in his promotional tenure. Ten Pow does have a win in the all-encompassing sport under his belt, but it came outside of ONE in 2021.

The Florida Kickboxing Academy representative will have to dig deep into his bag of tricks to show that he is more than just an elite striker against Bumina-ang, and the winner of their matchup could make a clear statement in the stacked bantamweight MMA division.

It was previously announced that ONE Fight Night 24 will be headlined by a battle for the ONE Interim Strawweight MMA World Championship between former titleholder Jarred “The Monkey God” Brooks and #3-ranked Gustavo Balart. In the co-main event, Danielle Kelly will defend her ONE Women’s Atomweight Submission Grappling World Title against Brazil’s Mayssa Bastos.
