Mikey is the current ONE Flyweight Submission Grappling World champion and one of the best. His opponent, on the other hand, is the reigning ONE Lightweight Submission Grappling World Champion and a growing name in the sport.

Kade recently sat down for a chat with Demetrious Johnson and spoke about his plans for the future. However, he did take out time to share the experience of facing his brother.

21-year-old Kade Ruotolo is one of the finest fighters in the division at the moment and boasts a perfect record of 6-0 in ONE. He is also the youngest ADCC World Champion and is fresh off a victory at ONE Fight Night 21. However; he does find a very suitable opponent in his brother Tye Ruotolo. A black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Tye also boasts a record second to none and helps Kade improve his skills.

He started his professional career at the age of 16 and since then has climbed the ladder of success. Both brothers are extremely competitive and often engage in friendly brawls. Kade recently sat down for a chat with Johnson and shared the details of the fight. Johnson asked him,” When you guys fight, is it jiu-jitsu or grappling?”. Kade was quick to respond and said,” It’s bareknuckle. “

Ruotolo is all set to take on Musumeci next in his career and the fight is expected to be a blockbuster event. The youngster, in a very short period has gathered a lot of attention from some renowned names. One of his biggest fans is UFC color commentator Joe Rogan.

Joe Rogan is awestruck by the skill level of Kade Ruotolo

56-year-old Joe Rogan is one of the biggest names in MMA. Not only does he have an intrinsic knowledge of the sport, but he also witnessed some of the best fighters from close quarters. Rogan has always been a fan of grappling, and it seems he has developed a special liking for the Ruotolo brothers. He invited grappling legend Royce Gracie on JRE MMA Show #156 and seemed highly impressed by Kade and his brother. His first interaction with Kade happened in 2022 when Rogan was invited to witness the ADCC event. This was the same year where Kade won the ADCC title and the JRE host seemed super impressed by his ability.

Rogan praised the youngster for his exceptional skills and even termed him as the future of the sport. He said, “How about [Kade] Ruotolo? 19-year-old and wins ADCC: youngest guy ever. That kid is wild. He and his brother [Tye] are so good. Those guys are so good in their 19s, it’s incredible.” Such high praises from Rogan can be considered can be considered a medal considering the experience of Rogan. And to be honest, the Ruotolo brothers deserve every bit of it for the kind of success they have achieved at such a young age.
