He will face the 20-year-old Thai-Malaysian star, Aliff Sor Dechapan, in a catchweight Muay Thai bout scheduled for August 2, airing in the US primetime.
In a recent interview with a renowned media outlet, Zakaria El Jamari emphasized the crucial importance of winning his upcoming fight against the younger Malaysian star Aliff.

Zakaria El Jamari, a recent addition from Morocco to ONE Championship, debuted in the promotion at ONE 166: Qatar, one of the organization’s biggest cards of the year so far. While he fell short against an undefeated fighter in Ali Saldoev, he quickly bounced back with a hard-earned victory against Thongpoon two months later to claim a 1-1 record in his promotional tenure. The 34-year-old is showing no signs of slowing down, though.

Now facing the explosive 20-year-old Aliff, El Jamari insists age is irrelevant, stating, “This fight is important for me, for all my fans to know that age is just a number.” Zakaria El Jamari appears to be riding high on his most recent outing, as he stepped in on short notice to emerge victorious against a strong contender in the 26-year-old Thongpoon PK Saenchai.
