Stamp Fairtex has come a long way since her days competing in the atomweight Muay Thai and kickboxing ranks of ONE Championship. The Thai megastar may have won World Titles in both sports, but on Friday, May 5, at 1stBank Center in Denver, Colorado, she’ll continue her MMA journey against Alyse “Lil’ Savage” Anderson.

A victory at ONE Championship’s first-ever event on U.S. soil would bring her a step closer to a second shot at the ONE Atomweight World Title – and a chance to become the Singapore-based promotion’s first three-sport World Champion. Ahead of her return this Friday, we take a look at three of Stamp’s best MMA wins inside the Circle.

#1 Beating Ritu Phogat To Claim Grand Prix Championship

For an athlete whose ground game is under constant scrutiny, there’s nothing sweeter than submitting a grappling expert. Stamp did just that when she squared off against Ritu “The Indian Tigress” Phogat in the ONE Women’s Atomweight World Grand Prix Championship Final in December 2021.

After defending waves of takedowns from Phogat in the first round, the Fairtex athlete eventually succumbed to her takedown early in the second. However, the Indian athlete’s determination to dominate proceedings on the canvas didn’t go as planned. Stamp quickly gained top mount and then locked in a triangle choke from guard.

Phogat tried to escape, but in doing so, she gave up her right arm. Like a duck in water, Stamp instinctually cranked it and locked in a match-winning armbar to gain the win at 2:14 of the second round.

#2 A Pivotal Win Over Jihin Radzuan

Jihin “Shadow Cat” Radzuan has always been one of the dark horses in the atomweight division. A skilled striker and a seasoned grappler, the Malaysian’s well-rounded arsenal always proves to be a tough test for anyone that comes up against her.

Stamp Fairtex entered her battle with “Shadow Cat” last September on the back of a submission loss to “Unstoppable” Angela Lee, so it was important that she had an answer for everything the Ultimate MMA Academy product threw at her.

She proved to have that in spades, outpowering the former #5-ranked contender in the striking department and displaying her IQ to defend against a couple of tricky submission attempts on the canvas. All this proved enough to convince the judges, who handed her a unanimous win at the end of proceedings.

#3 Putting Sunisa Srisen To Sleep With Solid Ground-And-Pound

Stamp Fairtex made it five wins from as many matches against Sunisa Srisen the best way she knew how – with her supreme striking. The former two-sport queen stalked her rival right from the sound of the bell when they met in July 2020, keeping close and waiting to connect with her Muay Thai-heavy striking.

Although Srisen hung on for a possible headlock on the canvas, the Thai sensation’s thumping left fists eventually did enough to force the referee to step in and halt the contest just one-second shy of the four-minute mark in the opening round.
