“Unstoppable” Angela Lee has graced the Singapore Indoor Stadium with various career-defining moments, and she looks to add another one this Friday, September 30.
That evening, the Singaporean-American fighter locks horns against “The Panda” Xiong Jing Nan in the main event of ONE on Prime Video 2.

Lee is confident about her chances inside the venue that has played host to several key moments throughout her professional MMA journey.

“Definitely, [competing inside the Singapore Indoor Stadium] stirs up a lot of different emotions,” she said.
“I am so familiar with the Singapore Indoor Stadium, walking through those halls and being in that environment. It’s very, very familiar. So it feels right at home, and I know that I’ve gotten through this so many times. It’s going to be definitely an iconic moment on September 30.”
Lee turned professional as an 18-year-old in the stadium, dominating Egyptian star Aya Saber via an armbar in 103 seconds. The United MMA and Evolve MMA representative returned for her third professional fight and gained yet another submission win.
In her third appearance inside the arena, Lee dished out one of her best displays inside the Circle to claim the inaugural ONE Atomweight World Champion at the expense of Mei “V.V” Yamaguchi.

She has since added another three successful World Title defenses inside Singapore Indoor Stadium, coming against Jenny Huang, Istela Nunes, and most recently, against Stamp Fairtex at ONE X in March.

Lee is 6-0 when competing in Singapore, and she wants lucky number seven to come against Xiong this Friday, September 30 on American primetime.

“I feel like capturing the second title, becoming champ-champ. Like, this is what I’ve been after for so many years. And I feel like now is finally the right time, everything’s lined up,” she said.

“I need to capitalize on this moment and capture it because if I don’t, I feel like I’m not going to get a second chance to fight for this belt. So I’m looking at it as this is my last shot. And, of course, she’s going to be defending it with all she’s got. But I know that I’m going to be stealing this belt from her at the end of the night.”
