David Taylor’s $17000 move to impress Bo Bassett

David Taylor and the OSU played a major trump card to impress Bo Bassett. While Bassett and his team were scheduled to participate in the national duel back in December 2024, the venue, much to Taylor’s joy, was in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Detailing his participation, Bassett wrote on his social media handle, “I have been looking forward to this for a while. It’s fun traveling to compete, but this weekend will be even better competing alongside my brothers and teammates. Over 40 of us flying out to Stillwater, Oklahoma, and wrestling some of the best teams in the country sounds perfect.”

Naturally, the OSU saw this as a golden opportunity to make their move. In a surprising announcement, Oklahoma State University decided to pay for the flight tickets for all the 40 members including Bo Bassett coming to the national duel. And the amount was not a small one. With each flight ticket costing approximately $440, the total amount invested by the OSU was a whopping $17000!
