The New Balance Indoor Grand Prix will light up Boston this Sunday, with some of the world’s best speedsters being present on the track. The spotlight is on Noah Lyles, the IAAF World Champion, who crushed the competition most notably at the outdoor circuit by sprinting the shortest and longest distances, 100 m and 200 m.

Lyles is hoping to win his fourth consecutive meet title in the men’s 60m at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix, where he will compete for the seventh time in his career. Lyles participated in the men’s 4×400-meter team that won silver in Glasgow last indoor season and placed second in the 60-meter event at the World Indoor Championships. With such an impressive track record, we are surely looking out for the Florida native’s competitors. So, who exactly are they?

All those who will be up against Noah Lyles

Competition lies with everyone, and how can track and field be untouched, right? Lyles, who never shies away from talking about the uncomfortable aspects of the sport, who won this identical race, clocking in at 6.44 last year, will try to defend his title against Bromell, who is only 29 years old, and Jacksonville-based 2020 Olympic 100-meter champion Jacobs. After starting 2025 with a time of 6.62 in Lubbock, Bromell has been inconsistent throughout the past few years and didn’t race after July 2024. What about Kishane Thompson?

Lachlan Kennedy of Australia and Kishane Thompson of Jamaica are the two guys who have already broken the 6.50 mark this season. The organizers recently revealed that Fred Kerley, the 2022 World Champion in the 100-meter event, will make his New Balance Indoor Grand Prix debut on Sunday, February 4. What are his chances of surpassing Noah Lyles?

At the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix on February 4, Kerley had a personal best time of 6.55 seconds over 60 seconds. On May 14, Kerley sent a tweet announcing his intention to beat Usain Bolt’s world record of 9.58 seconds in his next 100-meter event. All of this sounds exciting and we sure wouldn’t want to miss a minute of it. So, when and where can you watch the most anticipated New Balance Grand Prix?
