Love is in the air, they say, but is it on the track? There are so many emotions involved when in any of the track and field events. There’s joy, there’s sorrow, and there’s a thrill, especially when it is someone as talented as Jacious Sears, who is metaphorically the very daughter of the track. The Florida native has had a very decorated career until now, but it is not the accolades we talk of today. Today, we talk of love; we talk of Jacious’ love life.

When you come from a family where your parents were divorced, your faith in love is not very strong. Adding salt to the wound, when your mother raises you alone, the self-dependency and confidence run a little extra in your veins, just like they should. But you can’t completely discard love, can you? What of the 23-year-old? Has she?

Is Jacious Sears in a relationship?

We may never know what Jacious relationship status is as the psychology major is much of a private person; to this day, we do not know who her sister is, nor do we have much info about her parents, only that she too was a track and field athlete before migrating from Jamaica and is her daughter’s inspiration. However, if you are invested enough, you can accomplish the impossible too! Just like that, we have a solid guess about who could be the man of Sears’ dreams.

There were rumors about the 2024 Indoor SEC Silver Medalist (60m) dating someone from her university; these rumors were backed by one of her Instagram posts. So the answer to the question of whether the athlete is in a relationship or not, officially, she has not announced anything. But fans can always dream, right?

Who could be Jacious Sears’ mystery man? There is one top candidate!

Well, it looks like it is not just mere dreams anymore. There was a rumor blowing in the wind that the American track and field sensation was in a relationship with Yaseen Abdalla. Yaseen not only shared the university with the psychology graduate (University of Tennessee) but also had the same love for track and field. Abdalla is himself quite an achiever; having to his name 1x NCAA championship! But is he the one for the 23-year-old? 

Well, when Sears posted on Instagram on 16th February 2024 with a very encouraging caption for fans pining for the track and field sensation’s relationship status, “his forever valentine🌹“, it was very difficult to keep calm. The Instagram post had a series of pictures featuring the 34-year-old in a very graceful red dress. Although she looked stunning, it was something else that caught the eyes of the fans and you might never guess what it was.

In the post was Sears’ photo with a man whose face was, unfortunately, not visible. But there was a twist- the hair of this mystery guy had an uncanny resemblance to that of Yaseen’s! If Instagram sleuths think they have hit gold, they are probably wrong. Despite the similarities, neither of the duo has confirmed their relationship. So if you are shipping the two, maybe it is time to anchor it in the harbor! 

But if not Yaseen Abdalla, maybe someone else? Otherwise, we cannot make sense of the extremely romantic (and equal parts cryptic) Valentine’s post on Instagram.
